Breathwork with Maud

Who are our practitioners and what will they do?

1. Maud empowers busy minds with yoga-related tools so they can unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. She spent 12 years in Investment Banking so knows how to make the practice accessible to whoever needs to reset from the busyness of modern life!

Maud will kick start this three hour workshop with a talk introducing the topic of the day, explaining how lack of sleep affects us physically and mentally, and offering long lasting ways to introduce better sleeping patterns.

2. Ciara is a health & wellbeing journalist and meditation teacher. She specialises in mindfulness meditation and all her teachings are influenced by the scientific research in this field. She runs meditation classes via her own platform, Finding Quiet, and for wellness studios and businesses, all with the goal of helping her clients find moments of quiet in this noisy world.

Ciara will provide a brief introduction to meditation and how it can improve sleep and then teach two techniques ( box breathing exercise and body scan meditation.) Her aim is to show attendees the benefits of meditation for sleep, and provide them with two techniques that are easy to practice themselves at home

3. Farzana is a sound practitioner, wellness expert and founder of The Sound Therapist. She's trained in crystal singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, drums and the gong. She helps clients ease into a place of deep rest, relaxation and calm. And she's well versed in all things sleep!

Farzana will ease you into the session by starting with some super easy breath work. This will be followed by a soundscape using various relaxing instruments. Chimes and shakers will draw the session to an end, before Farzana guides you back from the dreamy sound bath.

4. All rounded off with Yoga Nidra from Maud. The term Nidra means sleep. Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness where the subconsciousness and unconscious dimensions occur spontaneously.. A single hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of sleep. Be ready to surrender and restore.
