Therapeutic bodywork aims to help build deeper connection with your body and enhance whole body awareness and sensitivity to the many signals we receive subconsciously. The aim is to move and restore your body from a fight or flight (sympathetic nervous system) to a state of calm parasympathetic nervous system.
Breathing and gut are very closely related and throughout the 90 min session Ana uses her innate sense of touch to connect both together.
Respiratory massage focuses on improving breathing by allowing your body to take deeper, longer, and calmer breaths. Ana works to relieve the effects of stress and shallow breathing around the rib cage and the neck.
Stomach massage will help support good digestion and release deep-rooted emotions – it’s well documented that the gut and brain share very similar cells, in fact the gut is often referred to as the second brain!
Face massage - a great access point to a theta brain wave state (restful, contentment, relaxed). A head, neck and face massage is a deeply relaxing treatment that allows your nervous system to shift into a calm and relaxed state, thoughts slow down, your body lets go and you drift off into a deep meditative state.
